I hate how the word ‘judge’ is perverted these days
“hey man its alright I don’t judge”
“stop judging me!!”
“oh I don’t judge people”
“DON’T READ ULL ONLEE JUDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
the last of course is the most famous example of someone using a word wrong just once making me hate everything else they ever did. well, okay, in tandem with their suicide. or murder by wife. whatever.
you are judging people constantly - you’re judging me right now. am i smart? ridiculously attractive? annoying? petty? did i just make fun of kurt cobain does that make me a bad person?
you judge your former friends who turn out to be monsters, you judge yourself, you judge political candidates.
if you don’t you are literally making arbitrary choices (or worse, refusing to make them, which means you should listen to more Rush apparently).
